A New Commitment!

I have now been doing this for 2 months, and I have 38 posts on my blog covering 36 distinct parks in the North Bay.  I enjoyed exploring and sharing with you so much, and I have also enjoyed your feedback.   I have gotten my daughters away from their screen and out of the house, I have spent more time with friends, and more time solo in nature.  Its all been very healing and nourishing for me.  I feel my body getting stronger every day, and I have lost a little bit of weight in the process.

Because I have covered so much local territory, I now have to drive a bit farther to visit new parks.   That's ok, I'm still going to do that, but I don't think I can manage it every day.  I am though going to parks everyday and revisiting many of the parks I have already written about, particularly at the coast.   Therefore, I will visit 2-3 new parks each week and share some photos from parks I already visited or even make updated posts if a new season is upon us. I have also recently dusted off and charged up my Fitbit, so I can better track my physical activity, and I have made the goal of achieving 15-20,000 steps per day.  That's about 6-9 miles/day.   It typically means taking 2-3 walks/day.   Since I am not working right now, I definitely have time to do this, and I have achieved this for the past 5 days!  The best part about it is, my daughters have been joining me every day - 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.  So good!

On Saturday, I walked in 3 parks that I've already written about:

Bodega Head (one of my favorites that I go back to over and over )

Laguna de Santa Rosa

Jack London State Park

On Sunday, I went to two parks:

Bird Walk Coastal Access Trail - Also one of my favorites that I return to frequently.

China Camp State Park - This is a new park for me, so I'm going to write about it on my next post.

All in all this has been a fantastic experience, and I'm excited to expand my reach into more of Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Lake & San Francisco counties!
