Corte Madera Marsh State Marine Park

Today, GG and I decided we were going to ride the the portion of the Bay Trail that run from Sausalito to Tiburon.  We ended up having our plans altered, which happens almost every time GG goes with me.  She is my adventure buddy, and we always end up having to figure out an alternative plan and have some sort of an adventure.  Its fun!   Today was no different -- we got a bit of a late start, then I didn't quite have enough charge on my car to get all the way to Sausalito - as it turned out, my car barely made it to the charging stations at the Village in Corte Madera.  There was a little turtle on my dashboard, and it said I was running on reduced power.  Yikes!!!  I have never cut it that close, and I was SUPER nervous.  We did make it though... phew!   I had to wait for a charger to free up, so at this point, I told GG that I remembered there was a trail on the other side of the mall, and it ran right along the water/wetlands, so we looked it up and sure enough!  Our plans were altered.  We plugged in the car, hopped on our bikes and discovered a wonderful dirt/gravel trail with lovely views and lots of birds. Also part of the Bay Trail.   In my book, you can't go wrong with that.   Here are some photos, and the first one is our view of the San Francisco Bay:

Some of the marshlands:

That's San Quentin Prison straight ahead!

GG snuck in a photo of me taking in the view:

Mt. Tamalpais:

Again, I was enjoying being on my bike, adventuring with GG, and discovering a new place.   We rode for about an hour around the trails, then decided we needed to get back to the car before it started getting dark.  The trail kept going longer though, so I'm wondering how far it goes...
