Shollenberger Park
Today, Sierra and I took a late morning walk at Shollenberger Park in Petaluma, CA. I had to pick up my bread flour at Central Milling in Petaluma, so I searched for a park near there. Since Sierra could take a break in her school work today, she came with me (yay!). After checking out the website: https://www.sonomacounty.com/outdoor-activities/shollenberger-park , I decided that the 2.2 mile loop along the Petaluma River and wetlands was perfect for the amount of time we had. We had a little bit of trouble finding it -- Google maps took us into a corporate center, and we could not find an entrance to the trail, but after some weaving around through parking lots, we found it! It has a low profile sign into a driveway sandwiched between two office buildings, then there is a parking lot with nice bathrooms at the trail head.
